Dex completed his Doctor of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Melbourne after practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist in British Columbia. He was formerly the Physiotherapist for the UFC.
Dex’s philosophy utilizes his skills in manual therapy as well as an evidenced-based approach of exercise and movement retraining which is unique to each individual. Dex loves working with the general population, whether suffering from chronic pain to aspiring recreational athlete. Dex’s true calling in life is to help people be the best version of themselves.
Dex’s story as a physiotherapist initially began as a patient. This eventually led to developing a passion in helping athletes of all levels successfully return to physical activity and sport.
Dex began his journey in professional sports in 2019 as an intern at the UFC Performance institute, which eventually lead him to the physiotherapy manager role. During his tenure, he worked alongside world class leaders in Sports medicine, Physiotherapy and Strength and Conditioning to rehabilitate and reduce injury risks among highly ranked UFC fighters. Dex’s experience in this setting can be applied to any individual in the general population.
